The Holiday Inn Old Sydney is located in The Historic Rocks district, and adjacent some of the world’s most iconic tourist locations. The hotel has a rich and diverse history along with easy access to the CBD, and major public transport hubs.

Your day to day

We are looking for a part-time Reservation Agent to join our busy Reservations team based in the hotel.

Reporting to the Reservations Supervisor, you’ll liaise directly with our guests via phone and email where efficiency and accuracy are key to success in this role. On the daily, you’ll:

• assist guests with reservation enquiries and think outside the box to make their stay memorable• be responsible for providing prompt, courteous and efficient handling of all requests for guest reservations, changes and cancellations• process all reservations prior to guests' arrival and work collaboratively with our Front Office team to ensure our guests have a seamless arrival experience• manage a range of guests such as leisure, groups, corporate clients and travel agents• be a hotel ambassador, positively representing the Holiday Inn and IHG brands

What we need from you

Ideally, you'll possess:

• proven experience in Reservations, Reception, Front Office or in a similar role (preferred but not essential)• hotel industry experience is advantageous but not essential• passion for customer service with ambition to provide authentic hospitality• excellent eye for detail, written and verbal communication and organisational skills• pro-active, results driven and team player skills• ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload
