Your day to day

The Eat Well Director assists the Chief Wellness Officer in managing the day to day activities of hotel operations to ensure guest satisfaction and maximize hotel profitability in addition to leading the F&B function in the hotel. He/she may also serve as the Chief Wellness Officer in his/her absence. He/she manages the consistency, quality and delivery of the hotel’s food and beverage services in accordance with the brand delivery strategy of enabling wellness and regulatory standards. This includes procurement, inventory, storage, preparation, and service of food and beverages for the hotel’s guests and staff; managing kitchen facilities and equipment; facilitating healthful food & beverage and wellness-related guest programs; and engaging and developing the F&B staff.

What we need from you

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree or equivalent in culinary arts, hotel administration or related field preferred. Advanced training in food and beverage management plus 2 years related experience, including supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated recent experience facilitating wellness programs, food/wine tastings, sports, fitness or similar activities. Must speak fluent English.Preferred:5 years of experience managing the finances of a complex service-related business with a F&B component. Bilingual, Spanish Other:Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the company. Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when completing paperwork and management reports, interpreting results, giving and receiving instructions, and training. Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances are utilized frequently. Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used often. Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency. May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
