InterContinental Perth City Centre opened in October 2017 and is a 240-room design orientated hotel in the heart of Perth's CBD. Focused on corporate and transient market bringing the InterContinental personalised service to life. We are looking for a part time Door Ambassador to join our charming, confident and internationally minded team who knows how to exceed guest expectations.

Your day to day

As a Door Ambassador , you will need to consistently demonstrate the highest standards of guest focus and care. We're looking for someone to bring their passion, energy and friendly smile to our hotel. This position has the overall responsibility of ensuring all guests have a positive arrival and departure experience. The Door Ambassador will:

  • greet and assist guests at the hotel entrance with their luggage

  • provide accurate information concerning hotel facilities, venues, transportation and key points of interest

  • alert management of any suspicious activities or characters

  • summons taxis, shuttle drivers and control traffic flow at hotel entrance

  • alert management of any suspicious activities or characters

  • ensure the hotel entrance is free of litter and debris, and

  • assist the Concierge & Bell Attendants as required.

What we need from you

Candidates must have all five of the criteria:

  1. excellent personal presentation, positive energy (each and every day!), with proven ability to hold an engaging conversation with anyone

  2. ongoing availability to work rostered across 7 days a week including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and public holidays

  3. unrestricted manual drivers license

  4. unrestricted and unlimited working rights for Australia, and

  5. knowledge of Perth CBD and the surrounding areas.

This job requires ability to remain standing stationary for extended periods of time, often outside, and moving/lifting guest luggage.
