Your day to day
As an Executive Sous Chef you will manage all food production and stewarding operations, whilst maintaining HACCP, health and safety and brand standards. In liaison with the Executive Chef, you will be leading and directing a kitchen brigade of 24 team members across the hotel’s F&B outlets, including Restaurant, Bars and Banquets operations. You will ensure that sufficient training, quality control and processes are in place to ensure consistent delivery in product and service.This is a great opportunity for an experienced Chef who enjoys working in a team environment, and is passionate about bringing their knowledge, creativity and leadership skills to work.
What we need from you
· Higher education qualification in Culinary Arts/Commercial Cookery· 5 years’ experience as a Chef, with a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity or equivalent combination of education and experience · Good communication and writing skills· Experience in delivering a high level of food quality in a hotel or restaurant environment.· Have previously worked with HACCP food safety system · Problem solving, think outside the box and strong communication skills· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays across a 7 day roster· Ability to build rapport quickly and manage multiple stakeholders at all levels· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise workload· Proactive towards change and improvements
