Your day to day

Generate new groups and meetings leads from “unmanaged” accounts and assist in lead conversion for our hotels. The Specialist, Groups & Meetings Prospecting will also ensure a smooth transition process for rebooking via the group centre hotline.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Must be Bilingual English and Spanish

● Proactively generate new groups and meetings leads from unmanaged account base.● Proactively generate clients/leads to uncover new unmanaged groups and meetings opportunities through tele-prospecting, internet, and LinkedIn etc. for our hotels. ● Assist hotel in lead conversion● Ensure a smooth transition process for rebooking via the group centre hotline● Achieve all sales targets as determined by the Manager, Groups & Meetings Prospecting● Establish key property sales relationships within the assigned region to ensure a “one team” environment● Develop key understanding of property groups and meetings goals & capabilities to ensure leads meet the hotels desired targets● Develop customer facing capabilities to ensure flexible response delivery● Ensure all communications are appropriate and timely● Meet all required deadlines as set-forth by key account leads● Drive best practices across the larger group new business development team● Participate in all team calls and events

What we need from you


Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business or a relevant field or work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.


3+ years progressive work-related experience in Sales and Marketing, with demonstrated mastery of technical and business knowledge and understanding of multiple disciplines/processes related to the position.

Technical skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for providing information to clients, hotels, and colleagues.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate supportive program details (presentation, analysis) to present a persuasive argument or to effectively sell a specific destination or hotel.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of hotel operations and sales processes.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Company’s infrastructure and systems preferred, to effectively develop plans which are in keeping with the overall business strategy.

  • Demonstrated strategic planning, marketing, and program development skills required.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar software for gathering, analysing, and reporting sales programs information

Demonstrated strong negotiation skills and understanding of group dynamics
