About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Finance Operations team as a Corporate Management Trainee for our Europe region.

You will be supporting finance operations for IHG’s Europe region by assisting senior stakeholders, managers, and team members on all processes related to asset management, financial performance, and finance projects. You will also learn and oversee monthly procedures, operations and reporting. Further to this you will actively contribute to a range of ad-hoc duties for managers and senior stakeholders to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete and coordinate activities related to assigned special projects; assist in establishing project timetables, action steps and status updates; follow-up, as appropriate, to ensure timely execution to meet established deadlines

  • Prepare a variety of departmental reports and/or presentations, gathering and summarizing information from various sources as requested

  • Control and analyse hotel key performance indicators using IHG reporting system

  • Assist the Europe Regional Team in the preparation of the Monthly Business Review

  • Prepare presentations, charts, new templates and reporting formats were needed

  • Assist Manager, Project & Asset Management and Regional Director of Finance in their various queries and requests

  • Perform administrative support duties as assigned to facilitate the smooth operation of the assigned work area and Prepare reports, charts, presentation data, or logs as required and according to established specifications

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will be an undergraduate or graduate student who is obtaining or has obtained a degree from an accredited school. You will have completed an internship or have work experience within a hotel environment (preferably within hotel operations, finance or revenue) or a finance department within a medium or large sized company. You will need to be fluent in English. Other language skills are desirable but not essential.

  • Basic accounting knowledge

  • Demonstrated ability to analyse basic database information for the purpose of accurately tracking or maintaining data and reporting trends or inconsistencies

  • Demonstrated ability to complete multiple assignments and projects accurately, with attention to detail and on time
