KEY RESPONSIBILITIESJob SummaryUnder the general direction of the Rooms Division Manager, and within the limits of established IHG and local Hotel policies and procedures, supervises the operational efficiency of all laundry areas and the service delivery of those areas within budgeted guidelines.

Your day to day

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversees the implementation of laundry standards and procedures.Recommends changes to these standards and training needs on an ongoing basis.Maintains a current and thorough knowledge of all laundry systems.Opens and closes the shift and ensures effective shift hand over.Checks all logbooks and performs the adequate follow-up.Distributes and collects Room keys.Fills the checklists and follows-up on any discrepancy.Directs task allocations and change according to volume and peak periods.Performs quality inspections.Prioritizes VIP or difficult guests. Liaises with Housekeeping for guest and Hotel requirements. Ensures laundry valet is processed and delivered in a timely manner.Coordinates special projects such as equipment routine service and stock inventories.Manages all special requests made by guests.Ensures consistency within the Department to maintain the best quality and a high productivity.Supervises laundry storage areas.Controls the Department costs by maintaining adequate stock levels and detergents consumption.Follows-up with the Laundry Technician on the daily maintenance and proper up keeping of all Laundry equipments to ensure the running of a smooth operation.Ensures the Laundry Department is clean and tidy at all times.Maintains a strong work relationship with all Laundry colleagues by frequently communicating with them.Informs the Laundry Manager of all issues pertaining to guests or colleagues requests.Conducts shift briefings to ensure Hotel activities and operational requirements are known. Demonstrates understanding and awareness of all company Policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety.

Education: Vocational DegreeSkills:Fluent in Arabic and EnglishBasic Computer SkillsExperience: Minimum 2 years
